The Old students Association of Business Senior High School(BOSA) has organized Second home coming ahead of the launch of their Alma mater’s 60th year anniversary, scheduled for next year.

The purpose of the home coming program is to build network and bring unity and togetherness among past and current students in attempt to mobilize resources through fund raising to develop the school to catch up with category A schools in Northern region.

The home coming event which happens to be the second edition was held on 30th July 2022 at the school.

Present at the colourful ceremony, were Executives of BOSA, Old and current students,Teaching and non teaching staff of Bisco, among others.

Addressing the gathering, the chairman of Old Students Association of Business Senior High School(BOSA), Alhaj Mahama Nurideen, made passionate appeal to the current government to consider maintenance of road network at Bisco especially the road from the main entrance to the administration block before the 60th year anniversary celebration of the school.

According him, Bisco deserves an upgrade and as old Students of the school they will do what they could to foster growth or forward match of the school in terms of lobbying to bring development to the school.

He also noted that the home coming event is a day for networking and also to make new friends as well as discover real Bisco family.

On her part, the headmistress of the school, Madam Fati, acknowledged contributions made towards development of the school by the old students.

However, she observed that the school is still faced with alot of challenges and ceased the opportunity to request for more gestures and donations from general public most especially old students.

Among the problems include lack of furniture, lack of air conditioners, and flat screen in the Staff common room.

Meanwhile she has also appealed to old students to provide them with Photo copier for the use of general office and exams committee as there is pressure on the old photo copier, adding that the school needs air conditioners for the offices of the Senior House Master and accounts office.

Further more, she appeals to authorities to furnish the school’s Library, assembly hall and dinning hall.An appeal was also made by the headmistress as she calls for equipping of the IT lab and provision of Gas cookers for the home economics department of the school more importantly she requests for construction of girl’s dormitory for the school .

Bisco was established as private school on 9th September 1963 in a rented place at Choggu with only one student. Today, the school has produced all kinds of people in industries, Academia, dynamic and big business men, politicians and accountants.

At as now the school total number of students stand at 2,2387, comprising 1331 boys and 1056 girls With 215 staff including 147 teaching staff and 61 non teaching staff and 7 national service personnel.

Later in September this year, Bisco will launch its 60th anniversary commemoration ahead of the event scheduled for next year, 9th September 2023.
