Guinness World Records has disqualified Ghanaian Singer, Afua Asantewaa Oduonum who attempted to break world longest singing marathon through her singathon concert held in Accra, Ghana.

In short message on X, formerly called Twitter today, Guinness World Records indicated that her attempt on world singing marathon was unsuccessful following review on her performance.

“Unfortunately Afua’s Guinness World Records attempt for the longest singing marathon was not successful, but we hope that she will make another attempt soon. We’ve seen how inspirational it has been for her fans. The evidence check had already begun before Afua requested priority sevice, so we refunded her payment earlier this month. We wish Afua the best of luck with any future record attempts”.

Asantewaa in December 2023 embarked on the singing journey to break the existing singathon records, but has been unsuccessful following the statement issued by Guinness World Records.

The delay in responding to her attempts by Guinness World Records has left many wondering the validity of Afua’s attempt after about 2 months without a verdict.

The message released by Guinness Books of Records has proven persimists right over their misgivings about her efforts.
