The President of Northern Film and Drama Makers Association, Abdul Jaleel Abdulai has passed on after long battle of kidney disease.

For over a year now, the actor has been battling with the chronic disease which has eventually taken his life away from his family to the Maker.

The actor who was on the sick bed both at hospital and home was transferred to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra for kidney transplant following mobilization of funds by industry players in Northern region especially actors and actresses who raised about 400,000 Ghana Cedis through ‘Saving Life Concert’ to support his medical treatment. There were several other cash donations made to actor to combat the illness.

Factsnewsroom.com has gathered that while he was at the Korle Bu Teaching hospital for the transplant, he was also diagnosed with another ailment, hepatitis b and transferred again to Rich Hospital for further treatment where he later died.

Abdul Jaleel Abdulai was married with two wives with several children. Both Parents of his ( Father, Mother) are still alive.

As at the time of filing this report, the body of the deceased was being conveyed from Accra to Tamale for burial.
